Mike has over 30 years of experience in leadership and consulting roles in New Zealand and internationally. Mike has degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Canterbury.

“Climate change and sustainability are critical economic issues, and I am thrilled to be joining the Board of NZIER as they bring their deep economic expertise to these challenges,” says Mike.

“We are delighted to have Mike join the Board of NZIER. His deep expertise in climate and sustainability, together with his background working in an economic consultancy, the New Zealand public sector, and a primary industry organisation, is of real value to NZIER and its kaupapa of assisting our clients in making better policy and business decisions,” says NZIER Chair, Keith Watson.
