Erwin Corong
Associate
Erwin has extensive experience in the development and application of computable general equilibrium (CGE) and microsimulation models.
As an Associate, Erwin complements NZIER's CGE modelling capability. Erwin provides advice through the use of evidence-based economic models that offer insights on the various inter-linkages within the New Zealand and international economies.
He is currently at Purdue University helping to extend the GTAP database and model.
Prior to this, he was an Economist at NZIER. While at NZIER, he developed NZIERâs bottom-up Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model of the New Zealand economy, with 15 regions and 106 industries.
