Economist

Thomas joined NZIER in August 2022 after completing a Masters of Commerce at the University of Auckland. Thomas specialised in economics. During this time, Thomas worked alongside Professor Basil Sharp and Professor Robert MacCulloch in teaching courses concerning the interactions between law and economics and topics in international growth. Throughout this time, Thomas gained experience in STATA and R, allowing for empirical investigations into econometric issues.

In his post-graduate studies, Thomas focused on how international trade impacts environmental indicators. He is passionate about finding unique and viable solutions to climate change, offering insights for decision-makers.
