
Aimée Cloutman
Economist
Aimée joined NZIER in September 2025 after recently submitting her Master of Commerce in Economics at the University of Canterbury, where she studied on a Kelliher Economics Foundation Scholarship. She has a background in econometrics and data analytics, and is skilled in Python, R, and Excel.
Aimée is interested in applying quantitative methods to real-world policy questions and contributing to evidence-based research. Her thesis examined the impact of foreign aid on development outcomes in Pacific Island Countries, combining econometric analysis with case studies. She looks forward to building her experience at NZIER and supporting projects that provide clear and practical insights for decision-makers.
