Sharon joined NZIER in July 2004 as a Research Economist.  Sharon's recent experience includes:

• Several studies of skills and training requirements in specific industries.
• Research to support the legislated leadership role of Industry Training Organisations.
• Study of links between industry training and productivity.

Sharon has worked in a variety of marketing roles, both in the financial services sector (primarily Lloyds Bank in the UK), and for an industry training organisation in New Zealand. Her marketing skills include marketing strategy and planning, market research (both qualitative and quantitative), product development and marketing communications.

Sharon has broad-based management experience including strategy development and planning, project management and leading small teams.
