Chris joined NZIER in September 2007.  Chris recently completed a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.  He has a Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Commerce double degree with First Class Honours in Economics from the University of Melbourne. Chris received a Ronald Henderson Foundation scholarship to complete his Honours thesis and a Wilfred Prest Travelling Fellowship from the University of Melbourne to complete a Masters degree at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.

Chris has worked in a variety of roles including a researcher on demographic change for the Victorian Government's Workforce Participation Taskforce, an economics tutor while studying in Germany, as an engineer for three years for the Ford Motor Company, and an intern on water trading issues for the Cooperative Research Centre for Catchment Hydrology, Melbourne, Australia.
